The Changing Photographic Brief of a FTSE100 Company
The photographs shown here demonstrate how varied the photographic work can be when continuing to work with the same FTSE100 company over a number of years. All these images were taken for Jardine Lloyd Thompson JLT for a number of different internal and external uses.
Photography for the same company can lead to an interesting and changing brief. The advantage of working with the same team is that the marketing department’s day-to-day requirements are known and can be catered for without them needing to explain at each photoshoot what they would like in the way of timing or image sizes.
There is often a misconception that working with the same designer of photographer will make for weaker images but here we show how this is not the case and rather that getting to know one another can lead to stronger sets of images which are in no way repetitive.
Staff headshot photography over the years
As with the other forms of photography the style of staff headshots does not need to be static and there are plenty of alternatives in style from background to expressions.
Board and senior management photographs for website and report and accounts
It is also useful to get to know the board of directors and management team. This can help them to relax immediately.
Team photographs of company employees or directors
Team photographs may be of the board of directors together or management team.
As with the other styles of photography the setting and backdrop can be changed in numerous ways as can the arrangement of the people appearing in the photograph, from standing to sitting.

The annual report brief is always changing from one year to the next and will depend on the company’s messages and what is required by the design agency. Architectural Shots of London Offices
Often clients require photography of their offices to be used in their brochures and reports as well as on their websites to give a sense of the company’s brand.
Conferences Photographic Coverage
Piranha has travelled across Europe to photograph JLT’s conferences, in particular their regular three day conference in Amsterdam. Each day consists of speakers as well as client entertainment and visits in the evenings.
