Corporate Headshots taken in London for Company Website
These new corporate headshots were taken to appear on the private equity company’s website.
The photographs of staff members were taken against a white background using Elinchrom studio lighting, and then subsequently ‘cut out’ in Photoshop for the company. This approach means that the pictures can be used on the company’s previously taken background images of their office, this provides a consistent look and feel.
Piranha Photography has taken many office background images which can be used when blurred as a backdrop. All of these backgrounds are photographed sharp and then blurred later to achieve the look required by the client, some want an abstract feel, like this company, others prefer a very gentle blur.
The advantage of this digital technique is that the subject is stored as a Photoshop layer so that the backgrounds can be changed easily at any time to achieve a very different look, from formal to informal.
You can find our more about this type of photography here – Private Equity Firm Photography for New Website.
Corporate headshots taken against a white backdrop can be extremely useful for not just the company’s website but also for individuals LinkedIn profiles and for use in the media.

Helping Another Private Equity Company with New Headshot Photography
Piranha takes corporate headshots for many London private equity companies both large and small.
The key to a consistent set of professional images as mentioned above is proper lighting and a backdrop. The photography set-up needs to be recreated in the same way over all subsequent days of photography and for new joiners over a long period of time.
This second private equity client had their new images taken against a grey backdrop in contrast to the one above who used a white backdrop and had the images cut out afterwards. The grey backdrop here was used on the website and throughout the company’s marketing materials. Whilst white provides an airy feel the grey background complements most skin tones, it also provides a gentle gradient. We find that for some clients grey provides the perfect balance between the white and black background options.
The final headshots can then be used on the company’s website and also by individuals on LinkedIn, intranet, marketing materials and pitch documents, providing a valuable resource.
