Here we answer some of the most frequently asked questions about our corporate photography services.

We specialise in corporate and commercial photography, including company headshots and full body shots of directors, senior managers and staff for use on websites, marketing and investor relations materials, and social media channels. Piranha covers event photography, including conferences, award ceremonies and company parties.  We provide business video services in addition to stills photography.

Piranha photographs at our clients’ premises or other facilities — both indoors and outdoors (depending on weather and light). For most corporate assignments, our photo shoots are normally at a London head office or a larger corporate site. Ahead of the photo shoot, we are allocated a room with good natural light and plenty of space for our equipment which we set up around an hour in advance of shooting. We supply all equipment (cameras, lenses, tripods and lighting) and carry spares to every shoot.  Shooting at client locations means less work interruption and saves on travel time for staff having their photographs taken.

If a studio is required we can arrange this and are accustomed to shooting in a studio environment.

The majority of our photo shoots are in London and across the UK, but we also work overseas. We are happy to travel to cover business headshots as well as evens such as conferences, award ceremonies, product launches, seminars and exhibitions, as well as social occasions including office parties and staff celebrations.

We recommend giving as much notice as possible, ideally a few weeks. If diaries allow, we can accommodate new photography bookings at very short notice and will always do our best to fit in every request.

Prices are supplied on request as we tailor our photo shoots precisely for each client. Costs vary depending on the brief, including the number of people being photographed, indoor and outdoor locations, use of hair and make-up services, and other factors. We normally work on a half day or full day rate for corporate photography.

For typical corporate headshot sessions, we normally shoot in half-day blocks and allocate on average between 10 and 15 minutes per person, depending on circumstances and locations. In a dual-photographer setup, we can photograph up to 30 people in a half day. With a single photographer, we can shoot up to 15 in a half-day session.

We supply a wide choice of images in a variety of poses per person, including different styles suitable for personal social media and LinkedIn. Briefs are agreed in advance with clients, usually with a member of the marketing and communications team.

Our experienced team of professional photographers will provide direction and guidance on the day to comply with your brief and provide the best images possible.

We usually return a set of images within a maximum of 24 hours after the photo shoot. Same-day delivery is also possible, if required. For press photography, we can deliver images directly to picture editors in newsrooms.  Often for PR or urgent photography we discuss the pictures with the marketing team during the photo shoot and will supply the selected images quickly to meet the deadline.

We provide a link to a website where you can review and select your preferred images for download. We deliver these securely via Dropbox or the client’s preferred method.

Yes. Much of our corporate photography is in London, including the City of London, but we travel extensively throughout the UK and overseas. With sufficient notice, we can shoot in most major towns or cities in the world.

Yes.  We have Lastolite backdrops in a number of colours to sit behind the subjects and provide a uniform colour background.

We favour Leica lenses and camera bodies, but we also regularly use Canon, Sony and Nikon equipment. We frequently update our equipment and our cloud storage capacity to ensure images are securely stored and quickly accessible. Our data is backed up at data centres in two different Greater London locations. For headshots we utilise a tripod so that the final photographs are consistent.

Yes. For the best professional photography, the key ingredient is lighting.  For everything headshot or office photoshoot we prepare a full studio set up with Elinchrome flash to ensure even lighting across the subject.

We often provide a makeup artist to assist with preparing subjects for headshot photo shoots.  Subtle hair and makeup alterations can be of value.

We offer minor or extensive retouching as required. Some clients request that their images are ‘cut out’ in PhotoShop and backgrounds changed. We offer this service and others as needed.

Yes.  Piranha’s team attends regular corporate events in London including covering business conferences, parties, staff celebrations, product launches, seminars and award ceremonies.

It is useful to brief the event photographer in advance of a corporate event so that the photographer knows what will be happening and when ready to take the best pictures.

Our team’s extensive experience means that they know precisely where to stand for the best images to be taken.  Remaining discreet on the day requires experience and we aim to document an event from start to finish. Our photographers will capture guests arriving and networking as well as the platform speakers in action or when receiving or presenting awards .

Our reportage approach allows us to capture a relaxed set of images, including the arrival key note speakers, panel discussions and people in groups in break out areas.

Our event photography is quickly processed by Piranha’s back office so that clients can use the photographs on social media and LinkedIn immediately after the coverage has been completed.
