This private equity company commission regular photo shoots in London.<\/p>\n

The portrait photography<\/a> is used for the company’s new website team page<\/a> and across other marketing materials and on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n

The brief was to have a blurred background to show a sense of context and environment. However, the view through the window in the room set aside for photography wasn’t great as the buildings beyond were lit by the full sun. This would mean that the flash power to balance the light inside with the sunshine outside would have to be very powerful, no problem for the flash but probably not very client friendly.<\/p>\n

I discovered that the client rooms had a mesh rather than a curtain which allowed light to come through but this was much reduced in strength. Meaning that the flash power could be dialled down to more comfortable levels and used to produce much more attractive portraits. The Elinchrom flash and large softbox work well together to cast an even spread of light and the background is now softly blurred.<\/p>\n

After each photo shoot Piranha supply a website of the photographs taken on the day from which the individuals can choose their preferred photographs. Then the selected pictures are processed and cropped to the correct size for the new website design and supplied ready for use.<\/p>\n
